It’s that time of the year again, the week of Black Friday. The week that is regarded as the beginning of the holiday gift shopping season. We believe in making a difference. Therefore, instead of a Black Friday, we will make it a green and social one. In the build up to Green Friday, we are going to show you how Qnoop plays a part in being green and sustainable.
Starting with the main ingredient: Qnoop socks are made of organic combed cotton which is certified by GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard). It’s the worldwide leading textile processing standard for organic fibres. Including ecological and social criteria. By using organic cotton, we make sure: no toxic chemicals are used. People and planet go first. We use up to 50% less water, because organically grown cotton plants need less water than their genetically modified counterparts. Farmers have safe working conditions and receive fair wages for their production.
To make sure the products last long, we steam and press the socks in the factory in Portugal. This process prevents shrinkage and makes the socks ultra soft and long-lasting. Since, we feel that sustainability starts by making products that endure. You will feel the difference in quality.
With Sinterklaas and Christmas around the corner, why not treat your loved ones to warm, soft, durable and sustainable Qnoop socks. Who wouldn’t want a pair of socks that are made of organic GOTS certified cotton?
Stay tuned, everyday this week we will tell you more about Green Friday and why we are doing it, and why you should do it!
